Hi Everyone! TJ and I celebrated our second anniversary last week, and we decided that with the baby coming we should probably try and keep it on the less expensive side so we spent the day together in Portland. Here are the fun, budget friendly ideas we came up with!
We started off by sleeping in (always a good idea), then went and got pedis ($25 each) which for me was amazing as always, but it was TJ’s first time and lets just say I wont have any trouble trying to get him to do it again. He watched football the whole time he was getting his feet massaged so that might have had something to do with it.
After that we went to Pine State Biscuits for brunch ($20), it’s one of my favorite places to eat in Portland, we actually went there the morning after our wedding so it has kind of become a tradition for us. It is so not healthy, but so good! Next we went to the Portland Art Museum, neither of us had ever been so we didn’t know what to expect, but it was actually a really cool experience to walk around and see how people expressed themselves through the different kinds of art. We were able to get “cultural passes” from our Library, so we only paid $5 each to get in, vs the usual $20 so that was definitely a plus. We finished off the day by picking out our Anniversary presents, I usually try and be a little more creative than that, but I knew he wanted a new pair of Nikes so it was a lot easier to just let him pick them out.
Someday maybe we’ll take an anniversary trip again, but this one was one of my favorites so far! Anyone else have fun things they have done on an anniversary, or just fun dates? I would love to hear about them! Thanks for reading!
